Implants, as natural teeth accumulate bacterial plaque and calculus which may lead to:
- Inflammation
- Peri implantitis
- Loss of the implant
Implants are an expensive investment for the patient and their maintenance requires special attention from the dentist.
We highly recommend to clean implant surfaces either with the new plastic coated ultrasonic instrument or with the well-known AIR-FLOW® method (see also Air Polishing products).
